Along my own journey with PFD, I have felt frustrated, scared, confused, embarrassed, alone, overlooked, helpless, hopeless, overwhelmed, and broken.

Over time I learned that my thoughts and feelings were connected to my mindsets. These mindsets play a significant role in the progression of chronic and persistent health conditions, and can impede the healing process. 

I can help you sort through all the wild emotions and beliefs you’re experiencing as you manage your own painful health condition.

My personal journey with pelvic floor muscle dysfunction began in 2014 - way before I became a mama. I manage vulvodynia, vestibulodynia, pudendal neuralgia, hips that like to move out of alignment, and hypertonic (too tight) pelvic floor muscles.

It took me 2 years to finally get correctly diagnosed, find the right healthcare providers, and create a pelvic floor treatment plan that helped me heal, prevent, and manage my recurring pain condition. It probably took me 4 years to learn how to cope with the emotions that had come with it.

At times I have felt frustrated, scared, confused, embarrassed, alone, overlooked, helpless, hopeless, overwhelmed, and broken. I remember feeling like my body had betrayed me. I felt like I couldn’t do anything. Sometimes, I was afraid to even hope I could feel better because I didn’t want to be disappointed. 

I’ve learned that my pelvic floor treatment plan has to be more than medication and physical therapy - it also includes tackling the emotions that come with a health condition. And that’s what I want to help you with.
